Oscar Murillo is invited for a residency of one month in collaboration with M HKA. During this period Oscar Murillo is developing a new project for the exhibition Don’t you know who I am? – Art after identity politics’.

Oscar Murillo works primarily with painting, bringing them together in installations and supporting these by video and social gatherings (yoga sessions, dinners, games,..). The use of dirt plays an important role in the creation of his paintings and is considered as an element of society that is equal to everybody. In his installations Oscar Murillo relates to his Colombian origin. Often his relatives play an important role in the contextualisation of his works.

Oscar Murillo graduated from the Royal College of Art in London and the University of Westminster in London.
