Chris Musgrave

Jan 2005 to Mar 2005
1969 USA

Chris Musgrave was invited for a residency of 3 months in AIR Antwerpen, which he will use for the production of a new work.

Chris Musgrave is interested in capturing reality. Using the sound and vibrations around us he focusses on the physical relations we have with respect to the world. In these interactions Chris Musgrave wants to produce a viewer that is self conscious in an extreme way. Subordinate to this images will evolve in the heads of the viewers. In this way Chris Musgrave is working towards an active viewer who is given the possibility to develop his own narrative.

Chris Musgrave studied at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts (HISK) in Antwerp. He was invited for the following solo exhibitions: Kunst Zicht, University of Gent, Belgium 2005; Grusenmeyer Art Gallery, Deurle, Belgium 2004; University of Georgia,  New Media Institute and Synergy Center, Athens, Georgia 2002; 3 Walls Gallery, San Antonio, USA 2001; The Project Room, San Antonio, USA 1997.
